Job Overview

Start Time: 8:30 AM to 10 AM, daily  

Pay: Per parcel (earn more by working efficiently)

Rate: £18 to £22.50 per hour

We are looking for a dependable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe transportation. A strong focus on customer service and excellent time management skills are essential for success. 

Your daily routine will involve visiting the depot between 8:30 AM and 10:00 AM, collecting and loading over 100 parcels into your vehicle, and delivering them locally along a pre-planned route. We offer a pay-per-parcel system, meaning that if you work efficiently, you can complete your deliveries earlier and still earn the same pay, spending less time on the road.

Key Responsibilities:

- Safely drive a delivery vehicle to designated locations, strictly following traffic laws and regulations.

- Flexible work (Choose your days)

- Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring items are handled properly to avoid damage.

- Conduct routine vehicle checks to ensure it remains in good working order.

- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers about delivery schedules or potential issues.

- Keep accurate delivery records, including obtaining customer signatures and noting any discrepancies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role, with a solid understanding of commercial driving regulations, is a plus but not required

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and colleagues.

- Ability to navigate local routes efficiently using maps or GPS systems.

- A valid driver’s license suitable for the type of vehicle you will be operating.

- Experience in a warehouse environment is a plus, but not required.

Other information:

- If you are able to work Monday to Saturday each week, you can take out the exact same round each day making the role easier and more efficiant.

- If you are wanting a flexible work schedule where you pick the days you would be working. Then it would be a different route each day.

- The only major travelling in the job is going from the depot to your delivery location and then all the parcels are delivered on connecting streets.

- One round is between 100-150 parcels of which an experienced driver is able to deliver around 30 parcels an hour.

- The option for taking out two rounds daily is available for thos that are able to work more hours or have a van.
